Canapé Monochrome 14

Imi Knoebel’s Canapé Monochrome series includes star-shaped, monochrome works. The color spectrum ranges from dark or garish tones to soft pastel colors, their effect enhanced by the special, jagged format. The bright red Canapé Monochrome 14 is reminiscent of the Kinderstern (“Children’s Star”) designed by Imi Knoebel in 1988. This stands for the dignity and rights of all children and is still produced today in editions, but also in the form of objects such as brooches or pins, to promote the non-profit organization “Kinderstern e. V.”.
